The year was 1999 and the discovery of new fields of oil propelled Oceânica to glimpse a new and promising market.

With the challenge of developing creative and innovative solutions for its customers, then came to Oceânica Engenharia.

The company's first project, conducted a decade ago, was at the Field of Pescada / Arabaiana in the coast of Rio Grande do Norte and the work was the fabrication and installation of 10 inches flanged spools in addition to the pre-commissioning of 10 km of 10 inches pipelines.

Since then OCEÂNICA has stood out for performing works of diverse complexity. According to Ricardo Rangel, an Oceanica’s engineer, it´s not possible to get to that point with magical solutions or without sacrifices, but with commitment, determination and hard work to make the company better each day

"We've created over this ten years, economically viable technological solutions which have been proved as more efficient and competitive in the offshore market, enabling our participation in contracts with various scopes," said Ricardo.

According to Ivan Lemos, Oceânica`s Operations Director, the major difference is the Company's belief in their culture that considers the human capital one of its most valuable active. Thinking this Oceânica employs resources in the talents training and in the expertise of employees.

Investment in equipment and new technologies are also listed. "The planning of the success of our projects begins with the experience of the workforce that is trained to constantly exceed customer expectations," says Ivan

The quality of the team has always been the trump card of Oceânica. Doing so the company has ensured the success of our outnumber projects made during these ten years, for example:

The 22-inch risers installing in the Garoupa Platform, the decommissioning of offshore field Caraúna / CE , fabrication and installation of 18-inch pipeline flanged spools in Peroá / ES, fabrication and installation of 24-inch pipeline flanged spools in Manati / BA, among others.

A Oceânica has been preparing for new jobs and expects to complete another decade of success. The company considers the pre-salt the today ‘s main challenge. "We must prepare ourselves to give the support that Petrobras expects of us," said Ivan Lemos

To ensure that goal is achieved Oceânica is studying new ways and technologies to ensure the continued excellence of services provided.
